Our Lady of Perpetual Responsibily

A wrestling match scene featuring a woman in a purple outfit smiling while wrestling a woman dressed as a saint, with a crowd of elderly spectators cheering in the background.

As some of you may know, I have this lady who lives inside me. I call her “Our lady of perpetual responsibility” (kudos to Garrison Keller), oloper for short.

Recently I felt overwhelmed by all of the things I perceived as my responsibilities. I knew I had to get OLOPR under control. I asked AI to help me make the image above.

Then I made a list of my responsibilities, and things that I did that I perceived as my responsibilities. I prioritized them, and left off the IDMs.

“What is an IDM” ? you may ask. My mom invented the term. When something was not important to remember, or even know in the first place, she would say, “That goes on my IDM list.” It was a list of things that she did not write down. After I had completed the IDM part of my list of responsibilities, I made an outline of things that do matter, in order of priority.

Here is the result:

What are my responsibilities?

Now, I can look at the list posted on the refrigerator, and know what is an IDM, and what things I am responsible to do.

Shalom. Shalom.
